A life long resident of the beautiful Monterey Peninsula in California, DD has had a long career in the hospitality industry, along with a side line in the accounting field. When she’s not writing, she enjoys jigsaw puzzles, knitting, and traveling. She has two grown sons, each on opposite sides of the continent: Portland and Toronto.

Halley is the 5th Samoyed DD has had. She comes from a long line of Champion and Therapy dogs and is now 11 years old. Halley likes to spend her time taking walks, napping, and hanging out with her feline sister, Pixie.
